Nestled in the highly desirable neighborhood of Sandy Lane, Casablanca Villa is a 7-bedroom luxury retreat in the exotic paradise of Barbados. My girlfriend Celine and I had the pleasure of staying in this chic and exclusive THIRDHOME villa, giving us the chance to discover the joys of island living for ourselves.
A Luxury Rental for Discerning Travelers
On arrival, we instantly fell in love with the serene, minimalist styling of the villa. Cool and tranquil, in white with vibrant pops of color, the chic yet welcoming decor made a beautiful contrast with the lavish tropical landscaping of the surrounding gardens. Exploring the light and spacious Caribbean estate, we soon found that everything we could possibly want during our stay was close at hand. From a private gym to a luxurious media room, there was plenty to do when we felt like relaxing indoors. Though there are many high-end restaurants in the area, Casablanca’s well-equipped contemporary open-plan kitchen was very convenient for preparing snacks and appetizers during our stay.
While the interior of Casablanca is gorgeous, we found that it was easy to spend much of our time in the grounds of the luxury property. The airy covered terrace has the perfect ambiance for al-fresco meals, with its large glass table, deluxe seating and chandelier lighting. This dining space overlooks the spectacular 58-foot infinity pool and pool-side lounge area, where we spent many an hour, sunbathing and reading in between taking dips. The sunrises are well worth waking up for and it is a refreshing way to start the day. The outdoor space also boasts a leisure bar and a gas-fueled barbecue, which we found was one of the best ways to grill the local seafood.
Exclusive Guest Privileges
As villa guests, we had access to the Sandy Lane Beach Facility, with a private cabana, lounge chairs and parasols. The sea is sparkling clear and calm, so we felt really safe when trying out snorkeling for the first time. Seeing the underwater world was truly breathtaking – especially when we spotted some of the resident turtles just meters from the shore. The exclusive facility also has a golf course and tennis courts, which were great for when we felt in an active mood.
Visiting Local Barbados Travel Attractions
Though it was tempting to lounge in Casablanca’s lavish comfort during our stay, we took some time to explore some of the many local attractions. We headed to the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre in nearby Holetown to make the most of duty-free shopping. Along with high-end brand stores, the mall also has a cinema and diverse dining options. Bridgetown, home to the Barbados Garrison, Barbados Museum and Parliament Buildings, is another “must-see”.
Our stay at Casablanca Villa was more than just a holiday – it was a dream vacation. We highly recommend the Caribbean property to anyone who seeks a sophisticated yet peaceful Barbados retreat which offers the highest levels of comfort and premium amenities.
